Participate in building the capability and capacity of the technical support group, while helping potential and current customers develop solution plans and resolve problems.

·         Developed and supported storage management solutions to address business needs.

·         Developed full day CEU certified workshops.

·  Developed several project proposals to improve operational efficiency of the customer relationship management (CRM) application by improving workflow and reducing data entry. This resulted in a savings of several thousand dollars per year in labor and increased customer satisfaction.  

·         Designed a project to help diagnose Netbackup problems.  The project had several milestones that offered independent deliverables.  Two deliverables have already been met and the firm is working on derivations of the others.  These deliverables help reduce problem resolution time resulting in reduced labor costs.

·         Consulted with customer deployment projects and helped diagnose server, SAN, and Network environment problems.  Consulted with customers on standard IT business practices and methodologies.  This would result in better project deployments, faster resolutions of problems, a lower probability of similar issues, and greater customer satisfaction.

Network Administrator

Hired, managed, and provided performance reviews of IT staff.  Managed, designed and maintained computer and telecommunication networks for Minnesota and nationwide offices.

·         Managed and directed support staff, providing mentoring and training.

·         Designed and developed several applications that reduced labor costs and improved accuracy of the calculations.  This permitted AEC to meet the budget for several multi-million projects.

·         Managed several information systems projects to deploy new servers to share data, resources, and protect data.  This resulted in systems that protected enterprise data and allowed collaboration between departments.

·         Managed telecommunications project that included a new PBX system utilizing direct inward dialing (DID).  This permitted the firm to grow and reduce costs by reducing front desk overhead and additional incoming lines by using DID.

·         Designed and implemented a new network and telecommunications project in the new office space.  This project included a cutover of the existing systems that offered minimal impact to the engineers.  This resulted in a savings from potential productivity loss of about 130 engineers and technicians.

·         Designed and implemented training programs where peers taught each other how to use or become more efficient in special engineering applications.
